In now its 7th year - The Royal Danish Embassy in London and The Danish-UK Association are again hosting the UK Offshore Wind conference and once again Associated British Ports is supporting this event. The conference offers an overview of current and future developments in the UK offshore wind industry. The conference will provide answers to what we can expect in 2020 in terms of policy developments, market opportunities and technical advances, but will also offer excellent networking opportunities.

Speakers include industry leaders from both Denmark and the UK, such as Ørsted, Associated British Ports, EnergiNet, Equinor, Vattenfall among others, and being in its 7th year, the conference has become a leading event where key stakeholders from the Danish and UK offshore wind industry meet.

Associated British Ports

ABP has over 30 years’ experience in servicing the UK’s offshore energy industry, supporting developers through the full project lifecycle, from planning and construction, to operation and maintenance and beyond.  Our ports in strategic locations across the UK offer the best connected, best equipped and most cost-effective solutions for offshore wind projects, meaning that no other port operator gets you closer to this important and growing UK industry.

Examples of our work include the £310 million facility at Green Port Hull, a joint investment by Siemens and ABP, whilst our ports at Grimsby, Barrow and Lowestoft have also emerged as leading centres for offshore wind operation and maintenance.

ABPmer, our hydrographic and marine survey consultancy, and our UK Dredging operation, offer specialist services and consultancy during the planning phase of offshore sites. During the build-phase, our ports offer the perfect location, people, equipment and transport connectivity. For the operations and maintenance phase, ABP’s ports handle the crew transfer and maintenance vessels, as well as having the potential to house the crews and engineers.

ABP is proud to support the UK’s sustainable energy future and works with industry leaders to provide the best infrastructure for offshore wind developers, operational and maintenance and re-powering operators.

Colleagues from the wind energy industry are welcome and we can encourage you to visit the event page and sign up at the following link.
