DKUK are delighted to present ‘An evening of Nordic Noir’ with distinguished crime authors Lone Theils and Heidi Amsinck.

In the run-up to Halloween, this extraordinary event is guaranteed to send shivers down your spine, as Lone and Heidi talk through their chilling tales of headless corpses and mysteriously missing persons.

Both former journalists, Lone and Heidi approach crime fiction from opposite perspectives: Lone lives in Denmark and writes books in Danish, but set in the UK, and Heidi the reverse. They will talk about how their long stints as correspondents in London left an indelible impression on their lives and fiction.

What’s the draw of Nordic noir? Why do reporters make great criminal investigators, and what are some of the real-life crimes that have inspired their books? Find answers to these, and questions of your own, at our unique event.
