Emma is 11 and has a perfectly normal family until one day her parents announce to her and her older sister that they are to divorce. Additionally, her dad, Thomas, reveals he is transgender and wants to be a woman. As Thomas becomes Agnete, both father and daughter struggle to hold on to what they had, while accepting that everything has changed.

This film highlights some great psychological insights into a girl’s world suddenly turned upside down.
