Members of the Danish-UK Association are hereby notified and invited to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Danish-UK Association on the 16th of May 2023. To read the full notice please visit this link.

We invite all members and memberships of the Danish-UK Association to participate and engage in this year’s Virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The Annual General Meeting will be held as a virtual meeting using Microsoft TEAMs Meeting technology. This poses an opportunity for all members – no matter of your geographical location – to attend from a location of your choosing using an internet access via a computer or mobile device, or dial in via a phone to attend this meeting.

To make it a bit more enticing we are pleased to welcome and present Rie Lorentzen as our guest speaker. She with a long background from the food industry, will after the formal part of the AGM, give us an insight to Danish food and cultural differences to the UK when it comes to food. Her day job as Head of Foods at Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset, she has this close to her heart every day.

Who is a member?

All members whether employee of a corporate member, part of a family membership or one of the individual memberships including Young Professional members are encouraged and welcome to attend this Virtual Annual General Meeting and engage with the purpose of the Association. It is the time of year where you have a chance to engage with management and the Board of Directors, to question, query and contribute to the wellbeing of your – the membership’s – Association.

  • We will be using Microsoft TEAMs to conduct this meeting. Once you have registered, you will get confirmation email from eventbrite with details on how to access. You will also in due course receive an email from Deanne Lintorn, DKUK Events Manager with details on how you can access this meeting on the day via your Personal Computer, Laptop or mobile device that has web access, or if not possible via a dial in phone number.

Rie Lorentzen

Rie joined Ole & Steen in October 2021 as Head of Food. Heading up food development for the UK, US and Danish markets working closely with the innovations team in Denmark. She has previously worked with Wagamama as openings chef opening more than 15 restaurants and worked with Whitbread as Development Chef across all brands. 

Rie has also worked as Executive chef with Bill’s being part of the team rolling out the new version as well as the dark kitchen startup Kbox doing brand and concept development for the host kitchens.
