Over the past few weeks the government has steadily released details of a number of timely and reassuring new measures that will affect both employers of foreign workers, as well as those workers themselves. However, they leave a number of questions unaddressed.

If you run a business that employs EU nationals, Tim Hayes and Jesper Christensen from DKUK member company BDB Pitmans will be on hand to guide you through some of the topical questions that employers, particularly sponsors are currently grappling with.

  • What the end of the transition period will mean for businesses employing EU nationals in the UK.
  • How to get and keep a sponsor licence.
  • Common pitfalls sponsors fall into.
  • The impact of the current coronavirus crisis on overseas nationals.

Tim Hayes

Tim previously worked at the UK Border Agency and now heads up the Immigration Team at BDB Pitmans and provides a wide range of immigration and employment advice. He has particular expertise in business immigration, helping companies apply for sponsor licences, prepare for Home Office compliance visits, prevent illegal working and generally recruit overseas personnel. He also assists individuals with applications for entry clearance, leave to remain and settlement as well as applications under the new EU Settlement Scheme. Tim also often provides training sessions for clients on immigration matters.
