James Kynge, Global China Editor, The Financial Times

James Kynge is global China editor at the Financial Times, based in Hong Kong. He writes mainly about tech in Asia, China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” and geopolitics. He recently launched Tech Scroll Asia (https://www.ft.com/tech-scroll-asia). the FT’s weekly newsletter on tech trends and deals in the region. He won the UK’s Wincott Foundation 2016 award for Financial Journalist of the Year. His prize-winning 2009 book, “China Shakes the World”, was a bestseller translated into 19 languages.

He has spent 25 years reporting from Asia with postings in China, Japan, former Soviet Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

Lind Jiang, Advisor, Baidu Ventures

Linda Jiang is a serial entrepreneur and start-up advisor in the mobile internet and AI industries. She is a business development, strategy and product management expert with a proven track record in bringing and managing new tech products to global market. She is advisor at Baidu Ventures, focusing on expanding the horizons of what AI and technology is capable of. She was a Co-founder of Comet Labs, an AI and robotics accelerator based in Beijing and San Francisco. Prior to Comet Labs, Linda was a Co-founder of UMENG, the largest mobile app analytics and big data platform in China. UMENG was acquired by Alibaba in 2013. She has also previously worked for Samsung Mobile UK and CGI Europe. She is bilingual in English and Chinese and well versed in international business cultures.
