The health and life sciences sectors are at the heart of the UK prosperity and has real strategic importance – contributing over £70bn a year in and employing 240,000 people across. Moreover, the pandemic response reiterated the transformative role the industry overall can make to people’s lives. And so, as we look forward to the delivery of several existing strategies and visions, the government must remain focused on enabling investment and reducing regulatory hurdles.

A healthier and more productive nation cannot be achieved without partnership between government and the life science industry. As such, we would love to hear your perspectives on priorities going forward. At the session the CBI Health Director, Jordan Cummins will cover several topics, including:

  • The UK’s investment environment – including regulation
  • NHS partnership and data sharing
  • The UK’s clinical research environment
  • The progression of UK clusters of excellence and regional growth

We will also be joined by Claus Andersen, partner in Freeths’ highly regarded Life Sciences group. He specialises in all aspects of corporate and commercial work with a particular focus on regulatory advice to companies and businesses in the Life Sciences and technology sector.

We do hope you’re able to join us for what will, I’m sure, be an important discussion a couple of weeks into a new government agenda.
