We will be diving into questions such as how do leaders communicate effectively in their organisation top down, how is this implemented structurally, how does this impact culture, how and if communication style impacts the bottom line?

We will be taking a theoretic and practical look at how to achieve the most effective communication with multiple different types of personalities, and, draw insight from experts on how to implement cultural changes in their organisation so that leaders achieve the intended results.

Preston Ni

Preston is a professor, coach, trainer, and course designer in the areas of interpersonal effectiveness, professional communication, cross-cultural understanding, and organizational change. 

With over twenty years of experience, Preston’s dynamic presentations and powerful coaching have benefited thousands worldwide. He has worked with companies including Fortune 500 stalwarts Intel, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin, Visa, and eBay, as well as coached executives, managers, and private individuals to identify their catalyst for success.Preston received a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration, and is Professor of the Communication Studies Department at Foothill College in Silicon Valley, California. He is an Alumnus Fellow of the Stanford University Human Rights Education Initiative. Preston’s articles and commentaries appear in media including BBC, USA Today, the Huffington Post, Psychology Today, and the Oprah Magazine. He is the recipient of the Diversity Leadership Award in Teaching and Learning, and the inaugural recipient of the Silicon Valley Speak-Up Distinguished Speaker of the Year award.

Preston is the author of Communication Success with Four Personality TypesHow to Communicate Effectively and Handle Difficult People, and Branding Your Career Like Steve Jobs — 7 Essential Lessons in Work Success. He is also keynote speaker on the DVD program Cross-Cultural Communication: East and West.

Rebecca Sangster-Kelly

A Comms & Stakeholder Management Coach with experience across Energy, Police, Higher Education, Life Sciences, and Digital. She has an BA and MA in International Relations and a PGDip in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs.

Rebecca helps clients communicate effectively, establish skills that professionalise their engagement approach, and influences their audiences.

David Everhart

CEO, Ionis International

David is an experienced general manager and leadership development consultant who specializes in working with executives with complex international roles, and in helping organizations build their inclusive leadership capabilities. He is an experienced speaker, executive facilitator and executive coach. David’s mission is to enable the global success of leaders, teams, and organizations. He believes that increasing respectful and inclusive communication and interconnectivity across boundaries of all kinds is the best path for building stable, peaceful, and sustainable communities. 

Over the past twenty years, David has held executive roles with global consulting firms in Asia, the U.S., and Europe. His responsibilities have included building new business, restructuring organizations and teams, integrating strategic acquisitions, and working across complex global systems. Specific roles included Senior Client Partner and Managing Director of Korn Ferry’s Asia-Pacific Leadership and Talent Consulting business and later he served as Managing Director of the firm’s global Enterprise Learning business. David was President of Aperian Global, a provider of leadership development, Inclusion and Diversity, and intercultural learning solutions. He also led the international leadership consultancy for Mannaz A/S, a well-regarded Danish consulting firm. Earlier in his career David designed and taught highly rated executive courses on Chinese, Japanese, and Indian management at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
 

David is CEO of Ionis International Ltd, a boutique provider of inclusive leadership consulting, learning solutions, and coaching services. He is a frequent speaker at conferences on international business topics. He is a certified member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and holds multiple certifications for diagnostic assessment tools including for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), the Kozai Group’s Global Competency Inventory (GCI), and the Hogan suite. David holds an M.A. in East Asian studies from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in history from Cornell University. He speaks Japanese and currently resides in London.
