Work/life balance is one of the hottest topics being talked about today and affects everyone. It's a delicate business getting the balance just right and getting it wrong can drastically affect one's physical and mental health, not to mention the atmosphere at work, and ultimately bottom-line of any business.

International Women’s Day 2019 theme is ‘Balance for Better’, a global message transcending all genders, classes, and boundaries, so now is the perfect time to come together and discover what we can all do to help inspire and create the perfect work/like balance.

Discussion topics will include: 

•    What #balanceforbetter means for different people 
•    The myths about work/life balance 
•    How ‘Balance for Better’ can be better implemented in the workplace. 

Join this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations for a very special charity event, to learn how to #balanceforbetter with a panel of entrepreneurs, businesswomen and authors.

All proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards The Eve Appeal, the DKUK’s preferred charity the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into gynaecological cancers.

Christine Gouchault, Business Consultant, International Author and Motivational Speaker

Christine has more than 13 years of professional experience in sales, marketing and business development. She holds a master’s degree in communication, certifications such as business, life and master coach, and has taken courses in online marketing and high performance.

At the age of 25, she started a recruitment company in Paris and had a taste of life as a self-employed. She has worked as a consultant and grown her network and skills while trying to break the code to a satisfying life like mother and business owner, since she now has four children and wants to keep a flexible working life. Christine has started “Mum’s Business Community” with over 400 members throughout Denmark.

She wrote the book “Business Mum – 3 steps to success in running your own business and being a mum” which was published in Denmark in November 2017 and is out in English in the UK and in the USA.

Mireille Baumgart, Owner, BoConcept London 

Mireille ownes 8 BoConcept stores in London and Greater London and she is the most successful franchisee in the BoConcept world (330 stores worldwide). 

She have been an entrepreneur since a young age , growing , managing or owning various companies in UK and France and passionate to demonstrate that women have the same level abilities as men to be successful.

Nicole Soames, Coach, EQ practitioner & Author

Nicole is a highly qualified coach, EQ practitioner and author with extensive commercial experience gained from 12 years leveraging large sales teams for Unilever and United Biscuits, followed by 14 years developing and delivering training programmes across the globe. In 2009 Nicole founded Diadem, the leading commercial skills training and coaching company with over 85 clients in more than 15 different countries. As a businesswoman and mumpreneur, Nicole is passionate about helping women develop their emotional intelligence so they can take their commercial skills to the next level and achieve the extraordinary. Nicole is the author of The Negotiation Bookwhich published in 2017, and The Influence Book, which published in November 2018. 

Sue Coyne, Author

Sue is one of the co-authors of LID Publishing upcoming title The Zone of Connection, publishing at the end of March. The Zone of Connection is a simple but powerful guide to help people free themselves from fears, anxieties and negative patterns and fully connect to the true power of who they really are. Sue also has an amazing personal story about balancing work and life.

Moderator: Danusia Malina-Derben

Danusia Malina-Derben is a lifelong entrepreneur and straight-talking consultant advising Boards and C-suite clients on their Strategic Leadership. She is also founder of School For Mothers (SFM) a change-making movement upending old narratives that limit the potential of mothers and businesses. She is mother of ten children including ‘her last baby’, triplets of six years old.
