As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, enforcement in 2023 will be occupying an important place on the global sanctions agenda.

With increasingly difficult market conditions, clients operating out of the UK and the Nordics must expect hawkish scrutiny.

The webinar will have a particular focus on:

  • The UK/Nordic/EU legal framework for enforcement, focusing on liability, both civil and criminal
  • Drawing enforcement parallels and distinctions between Nordic and EU enforcement, plus international trends
  • Circumvention and Prevention: Nnavigating your business relationships, ensuring vigilance and compliance
  • Approach and priorities of the enforcement authorities
  • International regulators on ownership and control – corporate structures, countries of interest
  • Criminal offences in the UK – coordination with the EU and other considerations

The aim of the webinar is to prepare clients for an expectedly rough compliance year and discuss pit falls and best practice.
