DKUK Newsletter September 2018

Dear Members and Friends,

We hope you have all had a great summer!

Since last newsletter we have held our Annual Summer Reception which again this year was a huge succes. Here at the DKUK we are now looking forward to a busy autumn and winter season where there will be a lot of exciting events, including two big events in December, the Grand Gala Dinner & Ball with our Patron Her Majesty Margrethe II of Denmark as honorary guest and, of course, our Annual Christmas Lunch.

This month, we would like to thank Søren Jessen for writing the editorial, which we think is a great story. Besides that, we are pleased to announce our new intern Mads, who joined us on the 1st of September. Finally, we have launched a new ‘member to member’-concept, which we hope will make it even more attractive for you to be members of the DKUK.

Kind regards,

DKUK team (Gunnar, Deanne & Mads)

Editorial by SØren Jessen, Founder & Owner of JESSEN & CO LTD

Much has changed since Søren moved to London to work in the City 30 years ago. There were almost no restaurants in the City and no one knew what it meant to be Danish. Now the City is vibrant with casual dining, all-day brasseries, Michelin-starred restaurants and everyone knows what ‘Hygge’ means.
