DIS offers a comprehensive study abroad experience to students from distinguished North American colleges and universities focused on hallmarks of strong academic programs, cultural immersion initiatives, and unique accommodation options.

All academic programs are organized in association with study tours to various European locations. DIS is looking to build partnerships with organizations and businesses in the UK to host students for academic visits. In return for hosting students, companies can expect to gain ideas and perspectives from the students as well as positive public relations.

Established in 1959, DIS attracts over 1,500 students yearly from top American universities in their third or fourth year of study. Over 150 courses taught in English but from a European, Scandinavian, or Danish viewpoint are available to students. DIS is a government-recognized, not-for-profit organization.
