Scandinavian Kitchen

Scandinavian Kitchen is all about food, namely the basic staples of Scandinavian lunch food we miss from home - less bread, more grain, more fish and cured meats.

We realised that there are not many places we can get that kind of food in London – so this is why we decided to trade in our suits for aprons and set up Scandinavian Kitchen. Set up by Jonas (a Swede) and Bronte (a Dane) back in 2007, we realised London was finally ready for a new Scandinaivan invasion.

That’s really all there is to it. We want to be nothing too fancy (just tasty), and want to be a nice, inviting and laidback alternative to your traditional sandwich place. We’re a café and deli that aim to serve great lunch food and offer a large selection of Scandinavian groceries. All in a very friendly environment that welcomes everyone: good food with love from Scandinavia.

In January 2011 Scandinavian Kitchen launched their on-line shop – now supplying the whole of the pan-Scandinavian communities in the UK with foods from home.  They get weekly fresh deliveries from Scandinavia and stock stuff like Stryhns Liverpate and even koldskaal and much-missed things such as Kims crisps and strong liqourice.

Scandi Kitchen is the biggest Scandinavian food retail store of its kind in the UK – and import food stuff themselves from across the Nordics.
